It’s time for local government that puts your needs first!

Ask yourself this: What are you getting for your tax dollars? Houses and neighborhoods are popping up everywhere. The money is rolling in, but what do we, as average citizens, have to show for it?

No trash pickup, no sidewalks, no fully funded parks, no community centers, underpaid teachers and first responders, and 40% of the residents in this county can barely make ends meet, but if you’re a developer, business is booming.

Name another scenario where you would be ok with paying large sums yearly but receiving nothing in return.

The worst part is that we have the money for these things and more! The county is sitting on hundreds of millions of your dollars in reserve funds yet still elected to raise your property taxes 16.1% in 2023! Why was the increase proposed, you ask? A growth related budget shortfall, of course!

It’s time for change. It’s time for leadership that is beholden to the people of district 4 and not their own interests. I’m asking to be that leader. I’m asking for your vote on August 6th!

SLOW THE GROWTH SO THE INFRASTRUCTURE CAN CATCH UP

GIVE THE PEOPLE SOMETHING FOR THEIR MONEY

END INACTION DISGUISED AS CONSERVATISM

Policy Ideas

Please take a moment to look through some of the policy ideas that I’ve put together based on feedback from members of the community. These aren’t bulletproof solutions, but I believe them to be solid starting points. Please take a look and let me know if you have any edits or better ideas! Be sure to check back regularly as I will be adding things as often as I can!

  • I’m a 7th-generation resident of Rutherford County, and I’m running because my kids can’t afford to live here. I believe that we should be investing in our people. We need to build parks instead of apartment complexes and dog parks instead of industrial parks.

A county this size should be able to provide community centers for its citizens to enjoy and gather. I love this community and think it deserves better.

  • I spent 14 years as a Rutherford County sheriff’s deputy. What I learned over my career is that District 4 is rich and diverse. We need leadership that isn’t afraid to stand up for the everyday people of this community and who will fight to ensure every imaginable demographic is represented.

  • If you’re looking for 4 more years of the same thing, then you will have plenty of options. However, if you’re looking for a representative that puts community over profit, public benefit over personal gain, and isn’t afraid to get loud and hold those trying to line their pockets with tax dollars while not even pretending to be beholden to their constituency, I know a guy.

Let’s Do THIS!

I’ve spent a lifetime in this community. In the 14 years I spent as a sheriff’s deputy, I saw neighbors helping each other in times of need more times than I can count. I know full well the extent of the good we can do when we pull together. You deserve representation that speaks for you and demands that the people should be at the center of the decisions made in this county. A vote for me is a vote saying we’re tired of being put on the back burner. Let’s start taking our community back from the developers and personal-interest politicians in Rutherford County. I’m ready to get to work!
